SUMMARY


This is a 2 weeks summer intensive course starting at the middle of July going through the beginning of August. Tourist visa (90-day stay) sufficient.
5 classes are available for levels ranging beginner through pre-intermediate(N3), and the objective is to help students to acquire speaking skills. Materials used in these classes were specifically designed for this course and create an enjoyable time studying Japanese. Students not only study but go out to experience Japanese culture by traveling around Osaka and meeting Japanese people in programs organized by YMCA.
And we are also having special class activities. Japan’s cultural exports such as art, fashion and pop culture are enjoyed the world over. We will visit a number of technical colleges that specialize in training students in these disciplines and see first hand how these techniques are developed.
Technical colleges to be visited include those specializing in: ★ Japanese Hospitality ★ Makeup fro KAWAII style ★ MANGA drawing ★ Anime dubbing ★ Japanese cuisine.
These programs help students to gain a better understanding of Japan.
Homestay is available for those who request it.

  • 69,000 yen for 2 weeks
    • The above fees cover the costs of tuition, materials, culture exchange meetings.

INTENSIVE JAPANESE LANGUAGE STUDY

classclassStudents will be appropriately placed in classes for beginner to pre-intermediate(N3) level. Students will learn to communicate in actual situations: travel, shopping, everyday matters. Classes are conducted for 3 hours every day and though the program is short, the classes start with the basics. You can enjoy your learning experience with your classmates from around the world.

  • Experiencing traditional Japanese culture

japanese cultureWe offer various cultural-experience activities supported by Japanese volunteers, mainly collage students. Wear Japanese traditional summer outfits, called “YUKATA,” Experience Japan’s long-established hospitality called “OMOTENASHI” through tea ceremony to fully enjoy Japanese traditional culture!

Experiential lessons at vocational schools Program

Japan’s cultural exports such as art, fashion and pop culture are enjoyed the world over. We will visit a number of technical colleges that specialize in training students in these disciplines and see first hand how these techniques are developed. Technical colleges to be visited include those specializing in:

  • Plan for 2017 (based on activities done in 2016)
    • Let’s find out the secret of OMOTENASHI - Osaka YMCA International College(Hotel services)
    • Let’s create KAWAII - ECC Artist College(Nail art, make-up)
    • Manga drawing workshop - OCA College(Character design)
    • Anime dubbing workshop - ESP Entertaiment(Dubbing voice-training)
    • Explore the world of Japanese cuisine - TSUJI Culinary Institute/TSUJI Institute of Patisserie(Japanese cooking)

Travel and Outdoor programs

Osaka, located in the center of Kansai area, has long been one of the biggest cities in Japan. Kansai includes Nara which can be visited on a day trip from Osaka. Kansai is the heart of Japanese heritage, politics, culture and economics, and is visited by many tourists every year. In our program you will enjoy a trip around Kansai together with Japanese and foreign students living in Osaka in order to nurture international friendship. Have lots of fun and make new friends!


HOMESTAY(Maximum 15 people) / CROSS-CULTURAL EXCHANGE

with hostfamiliesFor many participants, communicating with people of another culture is a common desire. One special feature of this program is the opportunity to participate in a homestay. As the word conveys, this is a time to become as a family member in a Japanese home. It is a chance to understand Japanese life up close and to understand Japanese people better and build relationships. We encourage you to make the most of this opportunity by signing up!

Applying on the website


It is now very simple and easy to apply for the course from this website. Please follow the steps given below and apply by filling out the Application Form.

Fill out and send the Application Form from the website.





Our school will send you a confirmation E-mail of your application for the Summer Intensive Japanese Course.

Remit the course fee into the bank account designated by our school. The details can be checked in the confirmation E-mail mentioned in the above 2.

After receiving the confirmation E-mail mentioned in the above 2, you need to take a level-check test on the website.
Preriod of the web-based placement test:
March 14th (Tue.)~ June 30th (Fri), 2017

After our school confirms that you have deposited your course fee and taken the level-check test, we will send you the “Course Start Guidance for Summer Intensive Japanese Course” by E-mail at the latest 2 weeks before the start of the course.

After you arrive in Japan, you need to submit a photocopy of your passport (the page which shows your photo).


Applying by other Procedures


Please follow the steps below in accordance with the guidance and directions of the overseas agency offices.
